Global Collaborators of PCOS Millennials

Adwoa Agyeiwaa Ankomah — From Science to Service, For Every Woman’s Purpose

I’m proud to introduce one of our incredible collaborators at PCOS Millennials — Adwoa Agyeiwaa Ankomah, a passionate UX Designer and dedicated PCOS Advocate from Ghana. Our paths crossed because of a shared mission: to make women feel seen, heard, and supported, no matter where they come from. And that mission came to life beautifully in our collaboration video, “Breaking Myths, Building Hope: A Ghana-to-Philippines Story of PCOS Strength and Sisterhood.”

Adwoa brings together something truly special — a rare blend of technical skill, community heart, and lived experience. With years of work in UX design, public health, and customer success, she has helped shape digital solutions in healthcare by making them more humane, intuitive, and accessible. Her work has supported thousands of users in understanding health tools better, improving patient experiences, and empowering communities through education.

Beyond her design expertise, Adwoa is a natural encourager. She has participated in community health events, facilitated screenings, spoken with women about lifestyle and early detection, and used her platform to raise awareness about PCOS—especially in places where women struggle silently.

Through every story she tells and every project she touches, Adwoa reminds us that advocacy is not limited by borders. It’s built on empathy, collaboration, and the courage to stand for women whose voices often go unheard.

We are honored to have Adwoa as part of the PCOS Millennials movement. Together, we continue to build a global sisterhood — one story, one connection, and one empowered woman at a time.

Dr. Juliet Kristine “JK” Evangelista-Filomeno, MD, FPOGS, FPSUOG, — OB-GYN & Ultrasound Subspecialist

We are honored to introduce one of the official collaborators of PCOS Millennials, Dr. Juliet Kristine “JK” Evangelista-Filomeno, MD, FPOGS, FPSUOG, FPSCM — an Obstetrician-Gynecologist and OB-GYN Ultrasound Subspecialist whose dedication, empathy, and expertise continue to make a real difference in the lives of Filipinas affected by PCOS and reproductive health challenges.

Dr. JK holds multiple esteemed fellowships:

  • Fellow, Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (FPOGS)
  • Fellow, Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FPSUOG)
  • Fellow, Philippine Society of Climacteric Medicine (FPSCM)

Her journey in healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Manila Adventist College (passed the Nursing Licensure Exam in 2007). She later earned her Medical Doctor degree from Manila Central University – Filemon D. Tanchoco Medical Foundation in 2012 and passed the Physician Licensure Exam in 2014.

Dr. JK completed her Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Adventist Medical Center Manila in 2018, mastering clinical care, gynecologic management, and advanced ultrasound diagnostics. Today, she practices as a General Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Ultrasound Subspecialist, known for her compassion, clarity, and patient-centered approach.

In our blog post “Finding the Right Doctor When You Have PCOS — Why Empathy Matters,” we highlighted the importance of having a doctor who truly listens, explains, and supports women during their PCOS journey. The blog describes how many patients feel overwhelmed, dismissed, or confused after diagnosis — and why empathy should be a non-negotiable part of women’s healthcare.

Dr. JK stands out in this area.
Her approach reflects exactly what the blog emphasizes:

  • She listens without judgment
  • She explains PCOS clearly and patiently
  • She treats her patients with kindness and respect
  • She focuses not just on symptoms, but on the woman’s whole emotional experience

Her presence in PCOS Millennials embodies our mission: to connect women with healthcare professionals who offer both medical expertise and genuine understanding.

As one of our collaborators, Dr. JK strengthens our community with her knowledge, compassion, and commitment to women’s wellness. She helps us create a safe, informed space where Filipinas can learn, seek guidance, and feel empowered in their reproductive health journey.

Marianne Amparo Guzman — Founder of Heartful Global – A Voice of Healing, Insight, and Holistic Empowerment

I’m honored to introduce one of our collaborators at PCOS Millennials, Marianne Amparo Guzman — a woman who beautifully blends science and soul in her work for women’s health. Marianne carries two powerful roles: she is the Founder of Heartful Global, where she supports women in healing naturally from PCOS and hormonal challenges, and she is also a Demographer at UNFPA Philippines, where she transforms data into impact for communities nationwide.

Through Heartful Global, Marianne guides women through emotional release, mindset healing, and nervous system regulation, drawing from her experience as a Certified ThetaHealing® Instructor and Practitioner. Her approach reminds us that PCOS is not just a medical condition — it’s an emotional and internal journey that requires gentleness, awareness, and deeper healing.

At the same time, her work at UNFPA reflects her commitment to advancing women’s health on a systemic level. Marianne helps turn demographic intelligence into policies, programs, and decisions that shape reproductive health and community wellbeing across the Philippines.

We also had the privilege of collaborating with her in our article, “Understanding PCOS: Insights from Heartful Global’s Founder,” where she shared heartfelt perspectives on how trauma, stress, belief systems, and emotional safety influence PCOS. Her insights opened doors for many Filipinas to see their condition in a more holistic, compassionate light.

Marianne’s presence in PCOS Millennials strengthens our mission to create a community where women feel supported not only medically, but also emotionally and spiritually. She stands as a reminder that healing is possible — especially when approached with empathy, intuition, and science working hand in hand.

Her openness and dedication to advancing women’s health made this collaboration one of our most inspiring cross-border stories.

Her presence as a collaborator strengthens PCOS Millennials’ mission to bridge science, technology, and compassion — ensuring Filipinas gain access to global advancements that can change how we understand and support women’s health.
